Provides human resources support to the Township Business Administrator in executing his responsibilities as Personnel Officer for the Township. Guides staff by answering employment-related questions and concerns as well as conducts timely investigations, as needed, in response to employee complaints in accordance with the Township’s Employee Personnel and Procedures Manual. Analyzes levels of staffing to identify needs and implements the recruiting, hiring and onboarding of new employees. Monitors policies, practices, procedures, and ordinances to ensure consistency and compliance with changing laws. Administers employee benefits such as Workers Compensation, Paid Time Off including Federal and State Family Leave regulations and FFCRA leaves of absence. Coaches Department Heads with performance issues. Implements training and development programs related to regulative compliance and Management Development; Safety & OSHA training; Audiometry testing, and Drug and Alcohol testing.
Ms. D’Amore holds a BA in Communication, Certificate in Business Management, and an Option in Adult Education from Douglass College/Rutgers University. She possesses over 20 years of human resources management and consulting experience across the public and private sectors: county government, biotechnology, transportation, and manufacturing. She joins Hanover Township following five years as a Labor Relations Specialist for the County of Morris.
