Hanover Recreation Bobcat Wrestling 

The Bobcats are members of the Northern New Jersey Youth Wrestling League for Varsity competition. JV wrestlers will complete in the Future Stars league & tournament. Clinic wrestlers have weekly completion that is age and experience appropriate. We will also have tournament opportunities all season long.

Hanover Recreation  Basketball

Hanover Recreation Basketball: Grades 3 through 6

Pre-season clinics will provide instruction on developing and improving fundamental skills necessary for “game-day” play and success. Clinics are held in November and December. Games begin in January and end in early March. Weekly practices. Some limited travel to nearby towns may be required.

Hanover Recreation Basketball: Grades 7 & 8

A recreational basketball program. Limited travel to games will be required. Practice will commence once teams have been formed. Games begin in January. 

Hanover Recreation Travel Basketball

Hanover Township Recreation is in the process of organizing its Travel Basketball League for the 2023/2024 Season. The league will consist of boys' and girls' teams from East Hanover, Florham Park, Hanover Township, and Morris Plains.

Boys Travel Basketball Grades 5-8

Girls Travel Basketball Grades 5-8

If you have a player (boy or girl)  in grades 5, 6th, 7th, or 8th grade who is interested in trying out for our travel program, please register via Community Pass in the “Youth Basketball 2023-2024” section. There is no payment unless your player makes the team.

Try-outs will be held in November; practices in December and games will be held January through early March.

Please register as soon as possible so we can determine there is enough interest to make the league sustainable.

Your child must be preregistered to participate.

Hanover Recreation Basketball Clinics: Kindergarten through 2nd Grade

Hanover Township Recreation is holding Basketball Clinics for boys and girls in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. To be announced. 

Hanover Township Recreation Ski Club

Hanover Recreation Ski Club is for Hanover Township residents currently in grades 6,7,8. Join us via Zoom on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 7pm for Hanover Township Recreation Ski Club Information Meeting.

Since there are some changes to the program from past years, we encourage all parents to attend. Registration will open the next day on November 7, 2023 via Community Pass at 9am. We have a cut off of 90 skiers/boarders so registration should be completed as soon as registration begins.

Registration for Ski Club Transportation will open Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 9am via Community Pass. Please see flyer for Shawnee prices and their registration information. After you register your child for Ski Club Transportation you will receive a follow up email from Recreation.
