We listened to your suggestions!
At the end of last season, many members responded to our survey. The number one request was to permit guests.
Although we will still be under the guidance of gathering numbers established by the State Department of Health, we will be able to allow guests at the Bee Meadow Pool Monday through Friday. Weekends will be members only.
Rockin’ at the Pool! The long-anticipated Rock Wall has been installed and is ready to go! Improvements to the pool include the dual flume slide added last year. In your packet, you will also find a list of Special Events chock full of fun activities from bingo to live music.

About the Pool
The Bee Meadow Pool, owned by the Township of Hanover and operated by the Board of Recreation Commissioners, opened in 1964. It was built and is run entirely on funds generated from membership fees and other operating revenues. The pool is located on the 89 acre Bee Meadow Park site.
The Main Swimming Pool contains a diving board, a double flume slide, a rock wall, and a shallow area which gives the pool its Z-shaped configuration. The entire pool is surrounded by a concrete deck, which in turn is surrounded by lawn and professional landscaping. A small tot pool is also located on the grounds. The bathhouse provides hot showers and restrooms. A snack bar is also available to our members and their guests. Our Recreation Area includes a half-court basketball court, tetherball court, and two 4-square courts. The pool’s professional staff is headed by a veteran manager and includes well trained and certified lifeguards.
Bee Meadow Pool has several activities planned for the 2021 season, including Family Swim Nights, Live Music Night, Noodle Nights, Movie Nights and Bingo. All of these events are listed on our 2021 Special Events Calendar.
Private swimming lessons are available during weekday and weekend mornings for an additional fee. Please call the Bee Meadow Pool Office (973-428-2475) once the pool is open for the season to register.
Pool membership is open to Hanover Township residents and non-residents. Please call the Hanover Township Recreation Center at 973-428-2463 for more information about types of membership.
Amenities include: handicap accessible men’s and women’s restroom with showers and dressing rooms; chair lift for the disabled, baby pool, water slides, tether-ball, half-court basketball, four square, table games, and a concession stand.
