HANOVER TOWNSHIP DAY 2008 (click here for information on art contest and 5K Race/Walk) The annual Hanover Township Day Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 6th, from 1:00 - 5:00PM at Malapardis Park in Cedar Knolls. Rain dates are Sunday, September 7th and Saturday, September 13th. This free event for Hanover Township Residents includes rides, games, food, and entertainment for all ages. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR THE DAY, IF INTERESTED CALL (973)428-2463. TEEN EVENT AT UPPER MALAPARDIS PARK Once again this year, as part of our Hanover Township Day Celebration, Upper Malapardis Park will be dedicated to our teen residents, with band entertainment, skateboarding demonstration, food and drinks! All from 1:00 - 5:00 on Saturday, September 6th.
BEE MEADOW POOL As of August 1, 2008, pool fees will be reduced for the remainder of the season. (Click for rates)
"END OF SEASON" - - ONE DAY PASS For a two-week period, from August 15 - August 29, 2008, the Bee Meadow Pool will be offering an "End of Season" - - One Day Pass. This pass will be available to Hanover Township residents (13+) only at a cost of $5.00/day. Anyone 13 - 18 years old must be signed in by a parent or guardian when purchasing a one-day pass.
RUTGERS COACHES SAFETY CERTIFICATION COURSE Anyone interested in being a volunteer youth coach needs to be certified. Class is being held at the Hanover Township Community Center on Wednesday, August 27th from 6:00 - 9:30 PM. The fee is $30.00 which can be paid at the time of the class. Checks should be made out to the Township of Hanover. Please call the Recreation Department in advance to register or with any questions (973)428-2463.
MIDDLE SCHOOL POOL PARTY (click to download permission slip) (Incoming 6th, 7th & 8th graders) Thursday, August 28th - 8:00 - 10:00PM at the Bee Meadow Pool DJ-Snacks-Drinks $7.00 Admission Permission slips must be returned to the Recreation Office prior to the event. Admission is paid at the door.
INSTRUCTORS WANTED If you have a special skill, talent, or occupation that you would like to share with the community in either a one-day class or a series of classes, e-mail the Hanover Township Recreation Department at recreation@hanovertownship.com with your background and suggested program.
