Please be advised that the Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority is experiencing mechanical issues with the emergency generator for the Countrywood Booster Pump Station at the intersection of Countrywood Drive and Popular Drive in Hanover. The parts needed to repair the generator have been ordered and are expected to arrive later this week.At this time the booster pump station is operational. However, in the event of a power failure, the Countrywood System will be serviced by the Morris Plains System via the newly installed check valve stations at Beech Drive and Jim Fear Drive. The transfer will be instantaneous with no anticipated interruption in service. The only noticeable difference shall be a reduction in pressure of approximately twenty (20) psi throughout the Countrywood System. The Authority anticipates sufficient fire protection flows regardless of the system being used to feed the Countrywood System. Once the generator has been repaired the Authority shall notify the Township.
