Blood Pressure Clinic

The Township of Hanover Health Department offers a monthly Blood Pressure Screening Clinic the 1st Wednesday of every month (September through June) from 11 a.m. to noon in the Lounge of the Township of Hanover Community Center (15 N Jefferson Road).

All residents over the age of 18 years are welcome to attend, no appointment necessary.

Free Review of Your Medications

Have your medications reviewed by a Pharmacist! The Hanover Township Health Department offers a free, brown bag review of your medications. Download the program flyer (PDF) to learn more.

Prescription Return Box or MEDReturn

The Hanover Township Police Department maintains a prescription return box in the lobby of the police station.  This box is accessible 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Residents with expired or unwanted prescription and non-prescription medication can bring these items to the Police Lobby and deposit the items in the green MED-RETURN box.  You can also dispose of unwanted pet medications here as well.

If you want to dispose of your medications we ask that you deposit only one or two items at a time, because the chute will clog if you overfill the drawer.  Also, if you discover that the bin may be full, we ask that you do not overfill it and please bring it to the attention of the police dispatcher so arrangements can be made to have it emptied.

The only restrictions are as follows:

  • No needles (sharps).
    • Including Epi-pens.
  • No ointments or liquids.
  • No thermometers.
  • No aerosol cans or inhalers.
