TravelLing Teens


The Travelling Teens Program provides for the social, mental, and physical growth of the camper through a variety of trips and activities in a safe and fun environment.


Online Registration for Travelling Teens will open on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 9 am via Community Pass.

Please make sure you are able to access your Community Pass account prior to April 4, 2022. If you are unable to access your account, please call the Recreation Department during business hours at 973-428-2463.

Travelling Teens 2022 Calendar


The program is open to Hanover Township residents entering grades 7 through 9 in September 2022. The program will be held in two-week sessions.  

  • The first session begins on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 and ends on Friday, July 15th. (No camp on Monday, July 4, 2022)
  • The second session begins on Monday, July 18th and runs through Friday, July 29th
  • The cost for each two-week session is $800 until May 19th.  
  • After May 19, 2022 each two-week session is $825.  
  • A minimum payment of $400.00 is due at the time of registration, and the remaining balance by June 13th.  
  • If payment in full is not received by June 13th your child will not be able to attend the program and there will be no refunds.

Session 1 July 5 - July 16$800 - Early Bird (Ends Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 4 pm)
$825 - After May 19, 2022
Session 2 July 19 - July 30$800 - Early Bird (Ends Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 4 pm)
$825 - After May 19, 2022

Daily Activities:

Participants will be transported each day to a different location as noted on the Travelling Teens Calendar under strict supervision.  If your child chooses to bring personal belongings (video games, cell phones, etc.)  please be aware that the Travelling Teens staff is not responsible for any personal belongings!


Participants entering grades 7-9 will be dropped off and picked up at the Hanover Township Community Center, 15 N. Jefferson Road, Whippany.

Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm*

*You will be notified in advance if a trip will be returning to the Community Center after 4:30 pm.


Participants are divided into small groups led by head adult counselors. 


Participants are expected to wear proper attire and sneakers every day. No flip-flops or crocs allowed! Camp t-shirts and proper footwear must be worn on all trips. 

A daily itinerary will be emailed to each participant at the beginning of June.
